At Texas Christian University, Moore currently arranges for and conducts the undergraduate percussion ensemble, teaches private lessons, rehearses the drumline, and performs other instructional and organizational duties. Moore has received many compositional accolades. His piece for vibraphone and recorded accompaniment, Music for Vibraphone and Electronica, is winner of the 2011 Jonathan Durington Award for Music Composition. Jabberwocky, for solo soprano and piano accompaniment, was chosen to be performed at the 2011 Fort Worth Contemporary Music Fund Call for Scores concert. In 2008, Moore received first place in the Kentucky Music Educators Association's Collegiate Composition category with his piece for solo marimba, Prelude. He went on to perform the winning piece at the KMEA 2008 convention at Whitney Hall in the Kentucky Center for the Arts.
