John D. Newsome has been a music educator for almost 17 years in the public school systems. His experience teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels has inspired him to create highly accessible compositions for the developing concert band. He is currently the band director at Fitzgerald High School in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
